In November 2014, I was appointed by the Cultural Department of the Municipality of the City of Merida to take charge of organizing a discussion on the “Current Situation of the Fashion Creative Industry” as part of the 1st Congress on Cultural Management and Creative Industries that was held in the City of Merida, Yucatan, Mexico in November 2014, organized by the Municipality of Merida, the University of Zaragoza Spain and the Autonomous University of Yucatan.
No longer being part of the government but being part of the Master in Management of Cultural Policies and Projects in the University of Zaragoza, Spain and the Autonomous University of Yucatan, Mexico and working with the fashion industry of the region, I was also asked to research the economic impact of this sector.
The congress took place from 10th to 14th of November 2014, counting with the participation of 12 designers in the panel and an audience of approximately 300 students.
